It is easily processed with cutting tools. The deterioration of processibility is possible during single-layer surfacing due to the increase of deposit layer hardiness up to НВ 380-430 (40-45 НRC).

 

Technological peculiarities

Surfacing is performed without preheating of parts and limiting the layer thickness. The appearance of pores is possible if the recommended voltage is exceeded.

 

Use

Surfacing of mounting supports for shafts, axes, rail car wheels, dimension restoration of parts from carbon steels, etc.

Deposit metal properties

Deposit metal is characterized with high plasticity and viscosity. In a cold-worked condition it possesses very high wear resistance under the conditions, when wear is characterized with the availability of severe 

shocks or high contact pressures.

 

Technological peculiarities

Excessive heating of a deposited product is not allowed.  Forging of a deposit layer is compulsory during multilayer surfacing.

 

Use

Surfacing of railroad frogs, parts of crushing and milling equipment, dimension restoration and defect correction of cast parts from 110G13L steel.

Deposit metal properties

It offers good resistance to corrosion and wear during metal-to-metal friction in steam environment under a pressure of 400 kgf/cm²  and temperature 

up to  450ºС. Processing by means of cutting is possible without softening thermal treatment.

 

Technological peculiarities

 In most cases surfacing is performed without preheating.  Preheating up to 250 – 350ºС 

is required during surfacing of solid parts. Thermal treatment: tempering at a temperature of  560 - 80ºС  during  2    or annealing at  860 - 870ºС,  holding  2 h,  with subsequent quenching. Also it is possible to produce wire for surfacing beneath a layer of flux of the brands: 
АN-20S, АN-20P, АN-26S, АN-26P as well as in shielding gases (СО2, Аr + CO2 and pure argon).

 

Use

Surfacing of plungers, sealing surfaces for general purpose industrial, gas and oil fittings, rods of hydraulic supports, hydraulic cylinders, etc.

Technological peculiarities

It is recommended to perform wide-layer surfacing on the increased protrusion with oscillatory movements of the electrode wire.

Under the conditions of steam environment at a temperature up to 540°С and specific pressure up to 600 kgf/cm² deposit metal is characterized with good scoring, erosive and corrosion resistance. Processing by means of cutting is possible without softening thermal treatment.

Technological peculiarities

Surfacing is performed without preheating if the parts have small overall dimensions.  Preheating up to  200-300ºС is required during surfacing of solid parts with a diameter more than 200 mm. After surfacing perform tempering at 660°С 2.0 hours with subsequent retarded cooling.

Technological peculiarities

It is recommended to perform surfacing on the extended protrusion (70 - 90 mm) with lateral oscillations of the electrode wire of 30 - 50 mm. Weld pool shall be with reduced fluidity, which facilitates surfacing on part edges. Multi-layer surfacing of separate portions up to 40 - 50 mm thick is allowed.

Technological peculiarities

Preheating of a deposited product up to a temperature of 350-450°С is compulsory. After surfacing perform medium-temperature tempering [400°С/ 1h],  then retarded cooling at the speed of 40 - 60°С/h.

It offers good resistance to corrosion and wear during metal-to-metal friction under a pressure of 450 kgf/cm²  and temperature up to 500ºС. Processing by means of cutting is possible without softening thermal treatment.

 Technological peculiarities

In most cases surfacing is performed without preheating. Preheating up to 200 - 300°С is required during surfacing of solid parts. Usually surfacing is performed in 1 layer, thus obtaining 20Х14МН deposit metal with 44-52 HRC hardiness in the 1-st layer. Deposit metal possesses good conformablity in seals, high resistance to corrosion and wear, as well as ability to maintain a mirrored work surface for a long time. Worn-out sections of mine hydraulic support rod surfaces made of 30Kh, 30KhGSA, 40Kh, etc steels with a diameter of 70 – 300 mm are subject to surfacing. A mechanized helical surfacing should be used. Also it is possible to produce wire for surfacing in Ar+ CO2, СО2 environment.

Thermal treatment: annealing at 850 ºС, holding 3 hours;  quenching – heating up to 1220-1270ºС, cooling in oil;  tempering 530-560ºС, holding one or two times for 1 hour.

Technological peculiarities
